One person drowns every 2-3 days every Australian summer, so this is your opportunity to learn how to protect yourself, your friends and family and become a Coastal Survivor.

Beach safety and survival
Learn about dangers at our local beaches:
Rip currents, how to recognise them and escape.
Understand different wave type and their behaviour.
Envenomation – What to do if someone is stung by jelly fish, snakes, stingrays, bees (etc).

Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)
Learn what to do in an emergency: Primary Survey (DRSABCD), patient assessment, how to do CPR, the recovery position and how to use a defibrillator.

The workshop runs for three hours and includes a slide presentation, videos, practical demonstrations, first hand training, and free handouts.
You will learn information and skills that can save the life of someone close to you, and not just at the beach… anywhere.
