HLTAID009 Provide Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation – Face to Face/Blended
This unit describes the skills and knowledge required to perform cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) in line with the Australian Resuscitation Council (ARC) guidelines.
Course Requirements
Prerequisites: Age 12 or older, a reasonable level of fitness.
USI: All students undertaking nationally recognised training courses delivered by a registered training organisation must have a Unique Student Identifier (USI) Go to: www.usi.gov.au to create one.
Who undertakes this course?
This unit applies to all persons who may be required to provide CPR, in a range of situations, including community and workplace settings.
Course Outcomes
Students who successfully complete this nationally recognised training will be awarded the statement of attainment for: HLTAID009 Provide Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation.
Certificate is valid for 12 months from completion date.
Delivery
Duration: Two hours for face-to-face courses and one hour for ‘Blended Learning’
Assessment
Blended: Online test prior to the practical session
Face to face: Practical simulated scenarios and/or role playing
Knowledge Assessment by trainer during the course
Project (incident report etc)
